This Jamboree will be the first real Regional Jamboree which is not a co-event with the national Scout Jamboree and it is organized to kick-off the celebration of the Golden (50th) Anniversary of the Asia-Pacific Region in 2006 . The Jamboree will be held during 28th December 2005 to 3rd January 2006 at the historic site of the 20th World Scout Jamboree, Had Yao, Sattahip.

 JAKARTA (JP): The scouts movement of Brunei Darussalam extended on Thursday aid for survivors of the tsunami, which swept Aceh and North Sumatra provinces on Dec. 26, following a powerful earthquake that measured 9.0 on the Richter scale.

PRESS RELEASE 9 January 2005 Persekutuan Pengakap Negara Brunei Darussalam (PPNBD) held an emergency meeting on 27th December 2004 to discuss matters regarding the setting up of relief fund for the tsunami victims. The meeting was chaired by the Chief National Commissioner Awang Hj Zainal Abidin Bin Penghulu Hj Ibrahim. A protem committee was immediately set up to device a mechanism of collecting donations in terms of cash, clothings and foodstuff. |

Kepedulian Anggota Pengakap ( Scout ) dan masyarakat Brunei dapat kita acungkan jempol. Begitu mendengar peristiwa gempa dan tsunami yang melanda Aceh dan Nias, mereka segera membuka posko untuk menampung bantuan di kantor pusat (Headquarters) Persatuan Pengakap Negara Brunei Darussalam. Dari hasil pengumpulan bantuan tersebut, hari ini (7 Januari 2005) akan di kirim 4 kontainer pakaian. (sumber berita : Kak Paulus Tjakrawan) |
