Sesi pembekalan peserta woodbagde 2006 council Nortwest Suburban akan mulai dilaksanakan pada tanggal 8 Agustus 2006.Pembekalan dilakukan di beberapa lokasi yang dibagi berdasarkan distrik. Pada sesi pembekalan , akan disampaikan semua informasi umum mengenai kursus woodbadge dan juga penyampaian informasi mengenai logistik yang harus dibawa ketika acara berlangsung.

Since he was young, Jean-Michel Chalon, alias Jean-Mi, dreamed of adventures and travel. On May 7th, after cycling 9300km in 127 days, this 36 years old Scout won a bet which started between him and a friend from Scouts et Guides de France: to tour the Mediterranean ... by bicycle! On January 1 2006, in Mauroy, France Jean-Mi pedalled the first leg of what would be a long tour; A tour which saw him cycle through Spain, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Israel, Cyprus, Greece, Albania, Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia, Slovenia, Italy and Switzerland.

Scouts and their leaders at all levels of the Movement to plan and develop a Gifts for Peace project. It contains information, planning guides, activities, web-links, stories from National Scout Organizations and examples of projects for Scouts of all ages.

ScoutPAX is now online at scout.org/scoutpax in English and French, and will be translated into Spanish and Arabic in the coming months. A CD-ROM of this resource is also available and has been sent to National Scout Organizations.

Geneva, World Scout Bureau, 5 April 2006 - The Secretary General, in agreement with the Arab Regional Scout Committee, appointed a new Regional Director for the World Scout Bureau - Arab Regional Office, Dr. Atif Abdelmageed Abdelrahman Ahmed, 43, from Sudan.

Atif is a medical doctor with training also in International Law and Economical Multisectoral relations and a Master in "Disaster Management and Refugee study".

Besides having played a role as a member of Parliament of Sudan, he has been working with the World Health Organisation, in charge for the Emergency Preparedness and Humanitarian Action in Karthoum.
